Where to Stay in Belfast?
The choice of where to stay in Belfast depends on what you're visiting the city for. The city centre is a good location choice for people wanting to take in the sights of the city.
City centre accommodation provides a good base for exploring Belfast. For those seeking to make the most of the lively and welcoming atmosphere of the city's pubs and clubs, the area around the city centre is also good for access to popular bars such as the Bar Bacca or the more traditional Bittles Bar.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the area around Queen's University – south of the city centre – is also a popular area for those looking for a taste of Belfast hospitality with a good selection of pubs in the area. There's a range of accommodation types here, from guest houses to deluxe hotels.
Belfast Accommodation Options
Belfast, like many capital cities worldwide, has accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets. You'll find most of the budget and luxury hotel chains have a presence in the Northern Irish capital, while guest houses, hostels and self-catering apartments are other options for people looking to stay in Belfast. The Hilton Belfast has its home on the banks of the River Lagan, while the world-famous Europa Hotel can be found slap-bang in the city centre.
The Radisson Blu and Fitzwilliam also offer top-class accommodation in Belfast, while the likes of Park Inn, Premier Inn and Travelodge offer cheaper, convenient hotel stays in Belfast for business travellers and those on a budget alike. Belfast's first five-star hotel was the Culloden Estate & Spa and the hotel – set in acres of gardens – can be found around seven miles east of the city centre.
