Enjoy the sparkling Lake of the Ozarks -- which spans 55,000 acres and provides visitors ample opportunities to hike, bike and golf -- from the comfort of a lakeside retreat. The Lodge of Four Seasons, overlooking the glistening waters, is home to the Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Ken Kavanaugh golf courses with privileges at The Club at Porto Cima Jack Nicklaus Course.
Other on-site attractions include Spa Shiki, which was featured on the "Today" show. Travel + Leisure says of the spa, “From Swedish massage to organic green-tea wraps, exotic treatments from around the world are the hallmark of this lakeside retreat.” Stop by HK’s Restaurant, which features floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the Japanese Gardens and of the Lake of the Ozarks main channel. There are several on-site dining choices, including a casual restaurant, a café and a few bar and grill options.
After an afternoon of pampering at the spa or spent on the links, rent a boat and head out on the lake for a fishing trip. The resort is also home to an indoor and outdoor pool, so swimming is always in season. For a relaxing evening, head to the 250-seat movie theatre and catch a flick.
Guest rooms in the lodge feature balconies or patios, and some have views of the lake. The popular Avila Suites offer plenty of space to spread out in two bedrooms, a full equipped kitchen, living room and dining room. In addition, both bathrooms have Jacuzzi tubs and a separate shower.
