Arora Hotel Manchester is an impressive Grade II-listed building right in the heart of Manchester city centre. There are museums, galleries, shops and restaurants just minutes away in every direction.
The hotel, which opened in 2004 with Cliff Richard as one of its co-owners, is on the edge of Chinatown, close to Manchester Art Gallery, the Town Hall and Central Library. It's also around a 5-minute walk from the city's main shopping district and the Arndale centre.
The Arora's swanky 24 Bar and Grill restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and serves food that includes a number of Italian dishes -- which can be ordered through room service -- while there's also an extensive cocktail menu.
Rooms vary a lot in shape and size due to the age of the building, but all are decorated in neutral tones with deep red and purple finishing touches. Each room also has free Wi-Fi and little touches such as steam-free mirrors, heated towel rails and bathroom speakers. The Premier rooms have a king-size bed. The hotel also has rooms with two double beds.

From Piccadilly get a tram towards Eccles or Altrincham and get off at St Peter's Square. A taxi journey from the airport takes about 25 minutes.
