"The summer clings on longer in Cyprus than anywhere else in the Med," says The Daily Telegraph, so when we're bracing for the UK winter, visitors to Paphos can expect "temperatures in the mid-20s and room to stretch on the Blue Flag beaches". Fewer people also means lower prices, but, even so, we were surprised by this offer -- at £249 per person, it's the cheapest Cyprus deal we've published this year, and costs 33% less than packaging it yourself.
The holiday includes return flights, seven nights at the 4-star Capital Coast Resort & Spa, daily breakfast and dinner, and a free upgrade to a One Bedroom Superior Sea View Suite.
Set between the ancient harbour of Paphos and the sandy beaches of Coral Bay, the Capital Coast Resort & Spa is a 15-minute walk from the historic Tombs of the Kings, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a 40-minute drive from the Troodos Mountains.
The hotel -- which was awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence this year -- has a health club and three swimming pools, as well as a restaurant overlooking the sea, a lounge bar and a pool bar. One Bedroom Superior Suites come with a separate lounge area, a fully equipped kitchenette, two flat-screen TVs, and DVD and CD players.
