The Hotel Edelweiss is in Götzens, a traditional Austrian ski resort around seven miles from Innsbruck. As well as the Muttereralm ski area (accessible from the village's funicular), Götzens is close to the ski area of Axamer Lizum, which was the site of many of the alpine ski events at the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics.
The hotel itself has an indoor pool, sauna, steam room, bar and à la carte restaurant. There is a ski bus stop directly outside the hotel.
