Peak-season ski trips to Italy are rarely discounted, which is why we're impressed with this deal from Neilson Holidays. Save £135 on a week in Bardonecchia, Italy -- a resort the Ski Club of Great Britain rates as a "good base for exploring the Milky Way ski area", where "queues are a rarity".
Travel on 6 January for £344 per person, based on two sharing. The offer includes return flights from London Gatwick (including 15kg checked luggage), transfers to and from the resort and seven nights' accommodation on a half-board basis at a choice of two hotels. The meal options include a continental buffet breakfast and a 3-course evening meal.
The Hotel I Larici is in the centre of Bardonecchia and a 10-minute walk from the Campo Smith ski lifts. The hotel has a sun terrace, wellness area and free Wi-Fi. The Hotel La Betulla is 150 metres from the centre with a bus stop right outside. Facilities include a bar, restaurant and Wi-Fi area.
At 1300 metres, Bardonecchia was the host resort of the 2006 Winter Olympics snowboarding events and the ski area offers 150km of runs. The Campo Smith ski lifts, close to the town centre, take you up to 2400 metres where you can ski above the forest.
This offer is valid for travel on 6 January, 2013. Travel on 13 January for £366. The Hotel I Larici is £404 for travel on 20 January. The Hotel La Batulla is £385 for travel on 27 January.
