Update (2.50pm, 9 September): 29 November; 6 & 13 December are now sold out.
"Brussels is a city with an unappreciated buzz, especially as Christmas approaches and its seasonal market takes over the Place Sainte-Catherine," says the Daily Mail. Railbookers has put together a package that makes the most of this special time in the city -- at £179, it knocks a third off the regular rate.
With departures every Friday during the market season, this 3-night weekend break will kick off with a glass of champagne at Searcys St Pancras (worth £11), located on the station's Grand Terrace. You'll then travel aboard the Eurostar to Brussels in a little over two hours.
Accommodation is at the 4-star Hilton Brussels City, which is a 10-minute drive from Brussels Midi Station (where the train arrives). Guests will receive a complimentary upgrade to a Deluxe Room (subject to availability on arrival), and breakfast each morning.
The hotel has a sauna, a steam room and a gym, as well as the Bien Belge Living Lounge, which serves a range of traditional Belgian beers and local cuisine.
The Rue Neuve (one of the city's shopping hotspots) is only 100m away, while The Grand Place and the lively cobbled streets of Rue des Bouchers (a great place for sampling local delicacies including mussels and fries) are both within a 15-minute walk.
The Christmas markets stretch for 2km through the heart of the city centre, with traditional wooden stalls serving up artisan chocolate treats and the finest Belgian beers.
Valid for departures 29 November-3 January, 2014. Click here more for info.
