Monaco "is big on glamour", says The Independent, adding that, "it's easy to feel like an extra on a movie set" when you're there. This offer from Inspired Luxury Escapes makes it even easier -- spend three nights in a boutique hotel popular with celebrities and arrive by helicopter, for £399 per person.
It's an extra £100 per person to depart from April-July; September-October. See Inspired Luxury Escape's website for a full list of dates.
Opened in 2001 by Formula 1 racing driver David Coulthard, the Columbus has hosted Jenson Button, Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel after each of them won the Monaco Grand Prix. The hotel has a spa and a gym, plus a cocktail bar and a brasserie with a terrace overlooking the Princess Grace Rose Garden.
Monaco is divided into four quarters: Monte Carlo, where you'll find Monaco's sandy beaches and casino; La Condamine, home to the main harbour; Monaco-Ville, the ancient quarter; and Fontvielle, where the hotel is located, close to a small harbour. It's a 15-minute walk from the Columbus to Monte Carlo, passing La Condamine and Monaco-Ville on the way.
Add on extra nights for £75 per person, per night.
