Save up to £500 on an all-inclusive week in Antigua -- an island blessed with a beach "for every day of the year" according to Condé Nast Traveller -- with this package from British Airways. Now £969 per person, the offer includes seven nights at a 4-star resort and direct British Airways flights from London Gatwick.
Depart on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1-17 May; 6-30 June and stay in a Hillside Suite at The Verandah Resort & Spa where meals, afternoon tea and drinks by the glass are included. The suites have king-size beds, a lounge area and a private verandah.
Weekend departures (Friday-Sunday) are available from an additional £30 per person. Book by 28 February.
Flights include a 23kg checked baggage allowance, two pieces of hand luggage allowance per person, in-flight meals and refreshments.
The Verandah Resort & Spa has both white-sand beaches and nature trails within its 30-acre grounds. There are three restaurants on site: Seabreeze, the main restaurant; the fine-dining Caribbean-influenced Nicole's; and the more casual, family-friendly Buccaneer's. The Rasta Bar, Pool Bar and Beach Bar & Grill offer drinks and light snacks, while guests will find numerous treatments on offer (payable locally) at Spa Tranquility.
Transfers are not included, but can be added for £36 per person, return, for a minibus transfer or £63 per person, return, for a private car.
Travelzoo tip: The resort is adjacent to Devil's Bridge National Park. Years of water erosion have formed a natural arch there and myths of slaves leaping to their death from the formation coined the name Devil's Bridge, now a popular photography spot.
