Set in 25 acres of grounds, the Grand Pineapple Beach Antigua is on the pretty Long Bay beach in the northeast of the island, 30 minutes from the capital of St John's.
Resort facilities include two swimming pools, a fitness centre, four tennis courts and three bars. For dining there is a choice of four restaurants including Topaz, the Italian-themed Chef's Pietro, the Pineapple Grill, which serves Caribbean cuisine and The Outhouse, where you can eat homemade jerk chicken and ribs overlooking the sea. Nightly entertainment in the form of live music, cocktail parties and fire shows is also provided.
A range of watersports such as windsurfing, kayaking and sailing are available on the beach free of charge. With coral reefs and wrecks, the island is also a haven for snorkellers and divers.
For nature lovers there's also rainforests, underwater caves and lots of hiking trails. The period from June to November is a great time to spot tea turtles nesting and from August to February, thousands of frigatebirds (oceanic birds of prey) flock to the island to breed.
The all-inclusive board covers all meals, unlimited drinks, land sports, watersports and tips and taxes.
Transfers are not included but can be added for an extra £44 per person.
