The resort is near Kota Kinabalu in the Malaysian state of Sabah in the north of Borneo. Overlooking a marine national park, this 5-star resort is set on a white sand beach and boasts a spa island complete with a yoga pavilion.
On site, there are four restaurants and three bars (we've stayed at this resort and recommend cocktails at the Sunset Bar), two free-form swimming pools, a small kids' waterpark and a Jacuzzi. There are also food stalls just a short stroll away, serving fresh local cuisine.
To visit the island's famed orangutans, you can take the shuttle bus to the sanctuary at the hotel's sister resort nearby or book cheap flights to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre in the northeast of the island.
The price is based on two people sharing on a room-only basis.
