Kuoni has released a cracker of a deal: an all-inclusive beach holiday in Sri Lanka -- named in Lonely Planet's Best in Travel 2013 -- with a free room upgrade for £689 per person. We rarely see Sri Lanka deals cheaper than this.
The full package includes seven nights' accommodation in a Deluxe Room (upgraded from a Standard Room) at the Club Bentota, return flights with British Airways and return transfers. Putting this deal together yourself would cost over £330 more.
Flights depart from London Gatwick on 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26 June. Temperatures at this time are usually in the high 20s.
Club Bentota is on Sri Lanka's southwest coast, flanked by the beach and the Indian Ocean on one side and the Bentota River on the other. The restaurant serves a mix of local and international cuisine. Nightly entertainment consists of theme nights, live bands and local dance performances.
There is also a spa, a swimming pool, a tennis court, croquet and beach volleyball -- activities such as banana-boating, jet-skiing and windsurfing are available on the beach for an extra charge. Bentota is renowned as the country's watersports hotspot.
Writing about Sri Lanka, Condé Nast Traveller says: "There are very few places in the world where you can experience such a variety of countryside and climates: hot sandy beaches, cool hillside terrains, lush rainforests and elephant-filled national parks."
Upgrade to a 10-night stay for £72 more per person or 14 nights for £168 more per person.
Book by 15 May.
