For £1479 per person, explore Vietnam's stunning coastlines, learn about its turbulent history and taste some of the best food in southeast Asia. Encompassing 16 nights, four must-see stops and a discount of £670, the offer includes:
You'll also get a tour of Hue and a full-day Halong Bay cruise with private transfers.
Start in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) -- the Liberty Central is next to the sprawling Bến Thành Market, where you'll find everything from spices and handicrafts to Vietnamese coffee and street food stalls. We suggest a visit to the Củ Chi tunnels to see how the Viet Cong lived during the Vietnam War.
Next, fly to Hoi An for a week of relaxation. The city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, with its fusion of Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese and French architecture. Get a suit (or three) made to order or relax on one of the many beaches nearby.
The next stop is Hue (another World Heritage Site) and the Gerbera Hotel on the banks of the Perfume River. The hotel has a swimming pool, a restaurant and a sauna and steam room. The included tour will include a boat trip on the Huong River to visit the Thien Mu pagoda.
Finish in Hanoi, Vietnam's exotic capital, with a stay at the Sunway Hotel, 10 minutes from the Old Quarter. From there, sail around stunning Halong Bay, with its 3000 limestone islands, deserted sandy beaches and floating villages. The bay featured in the James Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies".
