Save over 30% on this Vietnam multi-centre trip from Elegant Travel & Tours. The offer includes flights, stays in four different cities, an exotic Halong Bay cruise, upgrades and a city tour all for £1479 per person.
Here's what included:
Travelzoo subscribers will also get a half-day tour of Hue and a full-day Halong Bay cruise with transfers and lunch.
The trip starts in Ho Chi Minh City at the Liberty Central Hotel, close to the sprawling Bến Thành Market, where you'll find everything from spices and handicrafts to Vietnamese coffee and street food stalls. We suggest a visit to the Củ Chi tunnels to see how the Viet Cong lived during the Vietnam War.
The next stop is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hoi An. Get a suit (or three) made to order in this fashion-savvy city where everyone knows a tailor, or relax on one of the many beaches nearby. The Hoi An Pacific Hotel & Spa, which was awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2012, offers free bike hire and a shuttle service. There's also a restaurant, a rooftop bar and a swimming pool.
Next, spend two nights at the Gerbera Hotel in Hue. This leg of the tour includes a half-day tour of Hue and a boat trip on the Huong river.
The trip finishes with three nights in Hanoi at the central Sunway Hotel. Condé Nast Traveller recommends exploring "the back lanes, taking in the colourful stalls and street vendors". From there, sail around stunning Halong Bay, with its 3000 limestone islands, deserted sandy beaches and floating villages, on a luxury junk boat.
Depart on select Wednesdays until March, 2014. Click here for more information.
Transfers are not included and are an extra £90 per person for all four cities.
