Occasionally, a deal comes around that almost seems too good to be true. This offer from Fleetway Travel, with a stay at the ultra-luxurious Taj Palace Marrakesh, personal butler service and a host of extravagant extras, appears to be one of those -- and at £499 per person, you save over £500, too.
The treat-filled package includes:
Condé Nast Traveller describes the Taj as a "splendid palace, its interior awash with gold leaf, jewels and hand-painted floral frescoes", while Luxury Travel Magazine lists it as one of the World's Best 5-Star City Hotels. "The impact of the hotel is scarcely less imposing than its namesake in Agra," says The Independent.
The hotel opened to the public in January this year, after its opulent bedrooms appeared in "Sex and the City 2" nearly three years ago. Set in the exclusive Palmeraie region of Marrakesh across 55 hectares of landscaped gardens, it is overlooked by the snow-capped Atlas Mountains and surrounded by palm trees and olive groves.
Bedrooms are spread over the main palace and four traditional riads. Riad Palmeraie Rooms are on the upper floors. Each has a view of the desert, a separate dressing room, a terrace, a flat-screen TV and an espresso coffee machine. Luxurious touches include a pillow menu, turndown service and the services of of a personal butler.
There are six restaurants and bars, ranging from a pan-Asian restaurant with a show kitchen to the Bombay Club, which has an extensive cognac and cigar menu. The hotel also has a spa with 14 treatment rooms, two hammams, a yoga temple and Moroccan treatments.
