We rarely publish all-inclusive deals to Mauritius, let alone ones for peak season, when rates are usually sky-high. But this offer from Emirates Holidays bucks the trend -- at £1249 per person, it includes a range of winter-sun dates, all meals, snacks and drinks, return flights and a deluxe hotel stay. We found this holiday for up to £347 more elsewhere.
In full, here's what you get:
Set on a 700-metre white-sand beach, the Ambre Mauritius is less than an hour's drive from Port Louis, the capital, and 20 minutes from Île aux Cerfs, a small island with "perfect, gin-clear waters", according to Lonely Planet. Most rooms have sea views and are scattered across the tropical gardens -- all have flat-screen TVs, mini bars, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
There are three swimming pools -- one stretches all the way to the beach -- two tennis courts and a spa. The resort also offers free kayaking, glass-bottomed-boat trips, snorkelling, windsurfing and aqua gym classes. Dining options include a buffet, an Italian trattoria and a Mauritian restaurant right on the beach.
Depart on 12-13, 19-21, 24-28 November; 3-4 December; 10 January-31 March, 2014. It's an extra £25 per person to depart on Friday or Saturday.
Upgrade to a Superior Room from an extra £40 per person, per week.
Alternatively, depart from Birmingham or Manchester for £1279 per person.
