Call it getting a wishful-thinking-head-start on spring cleaning, but earlier this week we went live with a few changes to our homepage. The most noticeable difference is our Top Deals. We reduced the number from six to three, with a focus on showing content that’s relevant to subscribers based on their region. So if you’re based in Birmingham, the deals you’ll see will be near or departing from your area whenever possible.
With the increasing popularity of holidaying within the UK, we’ve updated our UK Hotels sections to include short breaks and organised them separately from the rest of the hotels, at the top left of the categories. This way, those of you looking for a quick getaway should be able to find one even more quickly.
We’ve also overhauled the Cruise section, with the aim of making it easier to know where to go for what kind of cruise. The addition of River, No-Fly and Canaries into the subcategories should make your searches more clear cut.
In Holidays, we’ve separated Americas from the Caribbean. Americas will now include North, South and Central America and the Caribbean section will host all our deals to lush Caribbean islands like St Lucia, Jamaica, St Vincent and Antigua.
For the more adventurous, we’ve created Activities, Treks & Tours, which features deals to more far-flung destinations as well as activity-based holidays or those that have a central theme. The solo traveller is also catered for with the Singles section.
And finally, we’ve combined ferry travel with the equally glamorous rail, coach and car-hire offers in Rail, Road & Ferry.
