Travel Advice to Egypt

There are ongoing protests in several major cities across Egypt, including Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor and Suez. A nationwide curfew from 3pm to 8am local time has also been put in place to minimize potential disturbances. As such, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advises against all non-essential travel to these four cities and their surrounding areas.

While no direct threat to British holidaymakers in Sharm el Sheikh has been reported, in line with FCO travel advice, we strongly advise you to contact your travel agent, tour operator or airline to find out the latest and most accurate news.

Many tour operators have reported that Red Sea resorts are operating as normal, and the FCO has stated that transit through Cairo airport should not pose any problems.
