In case you didn't catch my earlier blog, Sri Lanka is the destination on everybody's wish list these days. (I'll give you a minute to read why here.) Adding more fuel to the fire, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority recently released figures showing that 97,411 international visitors arrived in the country in January alone, a rise of 13% on last January's total of 85,874 people. Want to join them?
With British Airways now flying from London to Colombo three times a week via the Maldives, it's easy to make this dream a reality. Check out our Activities, Treks & Tours section if you're looking for some adventure once you land, as you never know what may be on offer.
If you're looking to trade Britain's gloomy "springtime" weather for an indulgent beach package, look no further. We've seen recent deals such as an all-inclusive getaway for £679 per person to Bentota Beach, on a peninsula that's flanked by the Indian Ocean and the Bentota River. For the same price, there was a beachfront Negombo deal where you could set yourself afloat in one of the two infinity pools at the 5-star Jetwing Sea hotel in May and June.
As always, you can search for Sri Lanka deals via the destination bar on the homepage, or check out our Asia Pacific section.
