Another week of firsts here at Travelzoo. Back on our own island, we were wowed by this sumptuous package full of luxury, non-stop pampering and extras at the Lake Country House & Spa. In addition to an overnight stay, you receive a bottle of bubbly, an upgrade, a 4-course dinner and a £90 credit per person at the award-winning spa for £199 for two people.

Last, this is our first listing for Languedoc-Roussillon (in southern France near the border with Spain), one of my personal favourite spots to unwind – skies stay sunny much of the year, and hiking and tranquil coastal towns abound. This property is easy to get to (there’s a Ryanair airport nearby in Perpignan) and includes a 4-star overnight stay, a gourmet meal, and a free spa treatment or round of golf for £175 for two people.
