Publisher's Round up, 7 September

This week Caroline chooses a few off-the-beaten-track holidays, while at the same time remembering there's no place like home (as long as home is a luxury hotel in the Cotswolds)...

£199 -- Luxury Cotswolds Stay w/Michelin-Starred Dinner
With £209 worth of goodies thrown in, a stay at this idyllic retreat in the heart of the Cotswolds is a foodie’s dream come true. Hopefully the country air of the surrounding parkland will kick start your appetite, because a 3-course à la carte dinner in the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant and a bumper breakfast are included. Local produce gets the limelight here – you will also receive a bottle of Gloucestershire wine and some homemade chocs.

£1299 -- 10-Nt Miami & All-Inc Jamaica Escape w/£700 Extras
£1299 for two countries, two very different cultures and £700 of added extras. Sounds pretty good, right? After four nights of partying in Miami, you can fly and flop in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, for a restorative six nights of relaxation on a white sandy beach studded with century-old palm trees. For those who still have energy to burn, the hotel has rustled up all manner of perks including golf, scuba diving, waterskiing, tennis, massages, champagne and excursions.

£195 -- 3-Nt Jersey Break w/Ferry, Upgrade & Car Rental
Is it obvious we chose our favourites just before lunchtime? This 3-day, 4-star Jersey break coincides with Tennerfest (1 October-12 November), a food festival when local restaurants create special menus starting at £10/head. With £100 off, this package includes ferry travel, as well as free car hire in Jersey, so you can explore the island at your own pace.

£1599 -- 7-Nt Kenya Safari inc Tented Lodge Stays, Save £400
This nicely paced 7-night safari will take you into the Maasai Mara by 4x4 – with groups of no more than six, there’ll be no squabbling over window seats on the game drives when you can spot big cats, giraffes and elephants. There’s a 5-night beach extension available for £350, and as you’ve already saved £400 on the price of this holiday, you can head to Mombasa with £50 to spare.

£122 -- Normandy: Lakeside Stay w/Meals & Spa Treatment
Sitting on the shores of the lake in Bagnoles de l’Orne, the Hotel du Béryl has put together a package that saves you an impressive 42% on the usual price, and includes breakfast, a 3-course dinner, and unexpectedly, a fish pedicure. Why not?
