Hotel Prices Plummet in August

As summer holiday season swings into full force, cities across Europe are emptying out, and hoteliers have started slashing their prices to fill their rooms. This week we have seen some incredible rates from some of the top capital cities. The top-class Westin Grand Berlin, which regularly costs around £175 is offering rooms for just £90 — including an upgrade; the Millennium Gloucester in London's Kensington is offering a rate of £99, with breakfast and an upgrade thrown in; and in Barcelona you can now book a room at the delightfully quirky brand-new Porta Fira hotel for a teensy £50.
