Having grown up in South Wales, I have a strong affinity with all things Welsh: the people, the music, the daffodils, the craggy coastlines, Welsh rarebit, Brains Bitter and, of course, the brawn of the rugby team.
And seeing as we’re in the thick of the Six Nations (is it too early to mention the words “Grand Slam”?), with St David’s Day and the inaugural Wales Tourism Week upon us, there’s even more of a reason to visit. From quaint hamlets in the Vale of Glamorgan, through industrialised valleys and the steepling peaks of the Brecon Beacons to the rugged coast of Anglesey, there’s a plethora of things to do and see in Wales.
And don’t forget there are two Six Nations matches left -- Wales take on Italy on Saturday 10 March and France on Saturday 17 March at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Cymru am Byth!
