But What if You Aren't into Sport?

A bumper summer of sport awaits -- if the very idea fills you with dread, we’ve got just the thing

We’re halfway through Euro 2012, we’ve got a fortnight of Wimbledon to come, and the summer is set to be capped off by a small event in London -- you might have heard of it; many are moaning that it’s cost the country an arm and a leg, it’s destined to be two weeks of commuting hell… that’s it, the London 2012 Olympics.

But what if a summer of sport isn’t your bag? Well, don’t despair -- if you’ve become a Euro 2012 widow, or can already hear the sounds of Murray and co raging at their tennis rackets, Travelzoo may be able to rescue you yet.

Get the girls (or boys) together for a naughty night out with a difference and pick up top-price tickets to a "genuinely sexy, tasteful, and funny" (The Daily Telegraph) burlesque show at the Duchess Theatre in London. Usually retailing at £52 each, Travelzoo subscribers can get their hands on them for £26 -- half the usual price. The creative team behind “The Hurly Burly Show” has worked with Kylie Minogue and Rihanna, so you’re guaranteed a good show.

For those of you seeking a more adventurous day out, this offer from Liverpool Watersports Centre should do the job. Leave the TV behind, and set off on a 2-hour canoe trip round Liverpool’s famous Albert Dock for £12 each.

If you fancy something a little more sedate, theclubandspa at The Cube in Birmingham city centre is offering a day of pampering -- including two 25-minute treatments – for £39 instead of £88. It’s the perfect excuse to remove yourself from the sofa and the Euro 2012 schedule that comes with it for the next week or so…

And if you manage to drag your other half away from the TV – you could dine out on this great restaurant deal from celebrity hotspot Ayoush. You and a friend will get to sample 12 varieties of Moroccan mezze, plus a cocktail of your choice for £29 instead of up to £59 at the Bourne End venue – much more exotic than the inevitably rainy Wimbledon fortnight!

So, if the prospect of a sport-filled summer has you running for the hills faster than Usain Bolt, keep an eye out for Travelzoo’s local deals -- there’ll be loads more experiences on offer to keep you occupied over the coming weeks.
