It's rare that we see half-price tickets for an acclaimed opera company's production of "Madam Butterfly", so this offer for Welsh National Opera at Venue Cymru in Llandudno isn't to be missed. Seats are now available from £17.50 each for performances on 13, 15 and 16 March at 7:15pm.
These seats are located in the Stalls and Circle, and usually cost £35 or £40. There are no per-ticket fees; the only extra to pay is a £2.50 per-transaction fee.
Giacomo Puccini's "Madam Butterfly" tells the tragic tale of doomed Japanese girl Cio-Cio-San and her American husband, Lieutenant Pinkerton, played by Anglesey-born opera veteran Gwyn Hughes Jones. This revival gives the story a sepia-toned and nostalgic visual theme to provide the setting for classic arias, including the world-famous "Un bel dì".
Travelzoo tip: After the show on 13 March, there is a Q&A session with the cast and creative team behind "Madam Butterfly". It's free to attend -- simply stay behind after the show.
Book by 12 March.
