Combining Turner Prize-winning art with what The Guardian describes as "extraordinary" choreography, "Sutra" is performed by 17 Buddhist monks from China's Shaolin Temple. We've found up to 40% off tickets to the show when it comes to Birmingham Hippodrome on 7-8 May, making them £15.75 each.
Noted choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui spent time at the monks' temple while creating "Sutra", which draws inspiration from the likes of kung fu and tai chi martial arts and is performed on a set consisting of 21 wooden boxes designed by artist Antony Gormley. The music, performed live, is a specially commissioned score for piano, percussion and strings by Polish composer Szymon Brzóska.
Tickets in the Stalls and Circle (price bands A-C) usually cost up to £26.25 including the venue's 5%-per-transaction fee.
