Cardiff Castle will be hosting "Battle Royal" on Saturday, 31 August and Sunday, 1 September. This family-friendly event features a battle re-enactment, live music and a fireworks display, and Travelzoo subscribers can now save up to 40% on tickets.
This offer allows you to grab tickets to either evening for £15 per person, instead of the usual on-the-day prices of £25 per-adult and £20 per-child (under 16). Tickets are located in the tiered seating section, providing you with great views of the action.
In addition to this deal, Travelzoo are offering an exclusive family ticket for £45, which is available for two adults and two children, saving you 50% on the on-the-day admission price.
This unique event, which takes place both days from 6.30pm (gates open at 5.30pm) against the backdrop of Cardiff Castle, will begin with an English Civil War battle re-enactment, between the Cavaliers and the Roundheads. The Pendyrus Welsh Male Choir, featuring international baritone, Mark Llewelyn Evans, will then take to the stage. This will be followed by live music from Julian Littman -- a member of British folk-rock band Steeleye Span -- and Cardiff cabaret group, All That Malarkey!, who appeared at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The evening will then be then brought to a close by a large fireworks finale at 10.15pm.
