About the show
"Stephen Ward" tells the story of the man whose involvement with Christine Keeler sparked her affair with John Profumo and consequently one of the biggest political scandals of the 20th century. Ward was a friend to film stars, spies, government ministers and high society -- but he was ultimately disgraced.
Written by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Christopher Hampton and Don Black -- the creative team responsible for "Sunset Boulevard" -- "Stephen Ward" is directed by the multi-award-winning Richard Eyre, whose film credits include "Notes on a Scandal" and "Iris".
