About the shows
All three operas are directed by celebrated producer Ellen Kent, whose stage shows are renowned for spectacular scenery, elegant costumes and special effects. The company's latest production, "Aida", is set in the dusty plains and dramatic grandeur of ancient Egypt and tells the story of the slave girl Aida and her love for Egyptian hero, Radames.
Giuseppe Verdi's "Nabucco" features the "Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves" and follows the plight of the Jews as they are forced into exile by King Nabucco. The final evening at Windsor sees Giacomo Puccini's romantic opera, "La Bohème", which is the ultimately tragic love story between fragile Mimi and penniless poet Rodolfo.
