About the show
Following a limited run in 2011-2012, "20th Century Boy" is embarking on a UK tour prior to a West End stint. The show takes the audience through Marc Bolan and T. Rex's rise to fame and their time at the top of the charts, with a host of number-one singles and an army of adoring fans, which came to an end with Bolan's untimely death in 1977.
Staged by Gary Lloyd, who directed the West End blockbuster "Thriller Live", "20th Century Boy" stars Sue Jenkins ("Brookside", "Casualty"), Luke Bailey ("Waterloo Road") and Warren Sollars (West End production of "Mamma Mia!").
Reviews from the run in 2011** praised the show, with the Coventry Telegraph calling it a "colourful celebration of the short-lived but influential life of rock's glam king" and The Stage describing it as "a visual, aural and multimedia feast".
