Marvel at over seven million blooming flowers in what the Daily Mail describes as a "magnificient array of colours" with this spring Dutch bulbfields cruise sale from The River Cruise Line. Prices start at £229 per person -- that's less than half what you'd usually pay.
There are two deals to choose from: a 3-night sailing departing on 19 April for £229 per person; and a 4-night sailing departing on 15 April for £299 per person. Both offers include:
Both cruises follow the same itinerary, leaving on a round trip from Amsterdam to Volendam, Hoorn and Keukenhof, the world's largest bulb flower gardens. The 4-night version includes an extra full day in Amsterdam.
The 32-hectare Keukenhof gardens are only open from March to May. There, visitors can feast their eyes on millions of blooms, including tulips, hyacinths and daffodils. Flower shows, themed gardens and artworks can also be found on site.
Both cruises are on the ms Switzerland II, a 4-star vessel that is part of The River Cruise Line's Premier Cruise Collection. The vessel, which was specially designed for river cruising, is small and intimate, with a capacity of 104 passengers. All cabins have large picture windows. Facilities include a bar, a restaurant and a sun deck.
The price is based on accommodation in a 2-berth Emerald Deck Standard Cabin. Other cabin types are available for a supplement. An all-inclusive upgrade can be purchased for £12 per night. Excursion packages have been discounted and start from £55 per person when booked in advance.
Book by 12 March.
