Luxury river cruises usually include everything, from gratuities and private transfers to all meals on board, which is why they're hardly ever discounted. But this 7-night cruise through the Netherlands and Belgium has been cut by an impressive £691, and is now £1099 per person.
Here's what you get:
The cruise begins in Amsterdam and sails to Schoonhoven and Veere in the Netherlands, Ghent and Antwerp in Belgium, and Maastricht in the Netherlands, before returning to Amsterdam. Highlights include a trip to the world-renowned Keukenhof Gardens ("Kitchen Gardens"), a tour of medieval Ghent and St Bavo's cathedral, a canal cruise in Amsterdam and a tasting session of local Dutch cheeses.
On board the brand-new Avalon Impression -- which will launch in 2014 -- you'll find an open-air bistro, a dining room with panoramic windows, a fitness centre and a sun deck with a whirlpool. Deluxe Staterooms have flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi and large private bathrooms stocked with premium L'Occitane bath products.
