Visit exotic cities, explore uninhabited Indonesian islands and sail past jungle-covered hills on a trip that Lonely Planet calls "the last great adventure on Earth". At £1599 per person, this cruise-of-a-lifetime from Imagine Cruising is £1500 cheaper than the brochure price -- plus, you get flights and a hotel stay.
Here's what's included:
The trip begins at the V Lavender Hotel, minutes from Orchard Road, Singapore's top shopping spot. The ms Rotterdam then sets sail for Tanjung Priok (Jakarta), Semarang (Java), Tanah Ampo (Bali), Lembar (West Lombok), Komodo, Ujung Pandang (Sulawesi Island), Probolinggo and Surabaya (both East Java). You'll then return to Singapore, before flying back to the UK.
Highlights include the Chinese temples of Semarang, Bali's white-sand beaches and the National Park in Komodo, which The Guardian lists as "one of the best dive sites on earth". In Singapore, don't miss the hawker markets lit by strings of brightly coloured lanterns -- we recommend trying a dish of chilli crab at one of the many food stalls.
ms Rotterdam has several dining options, including a grill, a fine-dining restaurant and Taste of De Librije, which showcases the food of Michelin-starred chef Jonnie Boer. There's also a fitness centre, a Martini bar, a swimming pool and a thermal spa.
Depart on 27 February, 2014. The price is based on two sharing an Interior Stateroom. Click here for more information.
Transfers are not included, but can be added for an extra £40 per person.
