P&O Cruises has just taken £200 off the cost of a 12-night cruise to Madeira, the Canary Islands and Lisbon. The price is now £749 per person, including all meals and snacks.
The deal is to sail from Southampton on 1 September aboard Ventura, which the Daily Mail praises for its "uniquely British charm". The price includes full-board accommodation in an Inside Cabin, plus daytime activities and evening entertainment.
Upgraded cabins are also very good value and offer even larger discounts. Outside Cabins are available from £100 more per person (saving £230). Click here for more information.
Facilities on board Ventura include a spa, four pools, a gym, a 3D cinema and a show lounge. In its review of the ship, The Daily Telegraph says: "The cuisine was a real highlight -- varied and delicious, with different menus each night and wonderfully attentive waiters in the three silver-service restaurants." Meals are included at the Bay Tree, Cinnamon and Saffron à la carte restaurants and at the Waterside buffet restaurant. You can dine at The White Room, a speciality restaurant by celebrity chef Marco Pierre White, for a supplement.
The ship's first port of call is Funchal (Madeira), where guests will be able to discover the Jardim Botânico and its orchid garden and 50,000 plants. The ship then sails to the Canaries, with stops in Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Lanzarote.
Following the three Canary Island stops, Ventura starts its journey back to Southampton with a stop in Lisbon along the way.
