The holiday begins with a week-long stay in Rhodes, praised by Lonely Planet for its "almost magical World Heritage-listed old centre" and "dreamy beaches". The hotel is located in Ixia, 300m from Ialysos beach and close to a selection of bars and tavernas. Rhodes town is 5km away.
Following this, guests will board the Costa Mediterranea for a 7-night cruise around Greece and Turkey. Itinerary stops include Heraklion (Crete), Santorini, Mykonos, Izmir, Samos and Kos. The cruise finishes back in Rhodes, for the return flight to London.
The ship, described as "extremely upbeat" and "glitzy" by the 2013 Berlitz Guide to Cruising & Cruise Ships, has a 3-tiered theatre, a nightclub and a mix of bars and lounges. Dining options include Ristorante degli Argentiere, the more upscale Medusa Supper Club with an open kitchen and a 24-hour pizza place. For recreation there is a spa with a gym and eight treatment rooms, a jogging track and a multi-purpose sports court.
Transfers are not included but can be added for an extra £60 per person.
