This offer from Cruise Nation marries a 4-star stay in historic Athens with a cruise around the eastern Med for £549 per person -- that's £450 off the brochure price. In full, the deal includes a 2-night stay at the Chic Hotel with daily breakfast, a 7-night cruise on Holland America Line's 5-star ms Ryndam with all meals and snacks and return flights.
Flights depart from London Gatwick on 17 October.
After landing in Athens, guests will spend two nights at the 4-star Chic Hotel before cruising. This 4-star boutique hotel is set in the city centre near Kotzia Square. Nearby sights include the National Theatre of Greece and Athens Central Market. The Acroplis is approximately 2km away. There is a metro station 100m from the hotel.
The cruise begins in Piraeus, a port city on the outskirts of Athens. From there, the ms Ryndam sails to Katakolon (Greece), Kerkira (Corfu), Kotor (Montenegro), Dubrovnik (Croatia), Naples and Civitavecchia for Rome (both Italy), where the cruise ends. Add a 2-night post-cruise stay in Rome with daily breakfast for an extra £100 per person.
The price is based on two sharing an Interior Stateroom. Upgrade to an Ocean-view Stateroom for £50 more per person. Click here for more information and further travel dates.
The luxury ms Ryndam has a teak wood promenade, a string quartet in the restaurant and museum-quality art pieces and artifacts dating from as far back as the 17th century. The ship also features two pools (including one that can be covered by a retractable glass roof), a spa with an ocean-view gym, a theatre with Las Vegas-style productions and duty-free shops.
Holland America Line won the Best Overall Cruise Value gong at the World Ocean & Cruise Liner Society Awards for the 20th consecutive time this year.
Transfers and baggage are not included. You can add all overseas transfers from £60 per person, though public transport may be a cheaper alternative. Baggage costs £28-£36 per 20kg piece.
