If you're going on a fjords cruise, ideally you'd want a Balcony Stateroom, so you can enjoy the stunning scenery. This £599 per person deal from Iglu Cruise is a dream come true -- pay for an Interior Stateroom and get a Balcony Stateroom.

The 6-night offer is to cruise with Royal Caribbean International, which rarely offers double upgrades. Independence of the Seas sails from Southampton on 26 May to Oslo, Kristiansand and Stavanger.

Condé Nast Traveller describes Oslo as an "open-air capital with pretty beaches and parks, 19th-century architecture and long classical vistas", while Lonely Planet calls Stavanger a "picturesque place" that ends up being "many travellers' favourite city in Norway".

The price includes accommodation in a Balcony Stateroom and all meals and snacks, and free parking in Southampton. Click here for more information.

Independence of the Seas features a theatre, a casino, a day spa and an onboard ice rink featuring ice-dance shows in the evenings. The Royal Promenade, with its variety of dining and shopping options, is one of the main attractions. Sports facilities include a fitness centre, a 9-hole mini golf course, a dedicated sports pool, a climbing wall and a Flowrider surfing simulator.

This cruise will be one of the first sailings following Independence of the Seas's upcoming upgrade programme, which will see many additions and improvements to the ship including an outdoor movie screen, a Cupcake Cupboard and the new Giovanni's Table speciality restaurant.

Travelzoo tip: As this cruise is part of a wider Royal Caribbean International sale that ends once 1000 cruises are sold, it's best to book early.

Iglu Cruise is offering other Norwegian fjords cruises with Royal Caribbean International in May, June and September. Prices start at £599 per person with an upgrade to an Oceanview Stateroom on selected sailings. All these sailings come with a free £50 Marks & Spencer voucher per booking.
