Oriana first sails to Ireland, with a stop in Dublin, where guests can visit one of the city's famous attractions such as the Guinness Storehouse and the Jameson Distillery**. The ship then continues north to Reykjavik (Iceland).
The Daily Telegraph's guide to Reykjavik cruise port calls the city an "ideal grandstand from which to experience Iceland's elemental beauty", including "ice-capped peaks", "grumbling volcanoes" and "the steaming geothermal vents".
The ship then starts its trip round Iceland, starting with Ísafjörður, a natural port, surrounded by mountains on three sides and the starting point to discover the West Fjords. The next port of call is Akureyri, which is described as a "pristine Icelandic destination" by avidcruiser.com. The specialist cruise website adds that the town's location, at the end of Iceland's longest fjord, makes it "Iceland’s prettiest town".
Oriana then starts its journey back to Southampton, stopping in Tórshavn (Faroe Islands) on the way. National Geographic voted the Faroe Islands as one of the world's Top Five Island Destinations.
The ship has a restaurant by Marco Pierre White (The Ocean Grill), an al fresco pizzeria, a Mediterranean restaurant, a huge Tiffany-glass atrium and a traditional teak promenade. The ship also has three pools, four whirlpool spas, a theatre, a cinema, a show lounge, a nightclub and a casino.
