Cruising to Norway offers fantastic value this year and this is one of the best deals we've seen: £399 per person for a 7-night summer sailing aboard Azura, one of the P&O Cruises' newest ships. We found this cruise for up to £350 more elsewhere.
Update (14 June; 11:37): Due to high demand, the price is now £429 per person.
Scandinavian countries are notoriously expensive to visit, but a cruise makes the region a much cheaper holiday option. For less than the price of many traditional holidays, you'll have a chance to visit not one but four different destinations as the ship makes its way around Norway. The price includes seven nights' accommodation in an Inside Cabin, all your meals and snacks included and daytime activities and evening entertainment
This cruise sails from Southampton on 28 June. Other sailings in June and July are available from £50 per person extra. Click here for a full list.
Azura sails to Bergen, a city enveloped by "majestic mountains" and "spectacular fjords", according to Frommer's, and Åndalsnes, which is at the end of one of Norway's longest fjords. The ship then docks in Olden, where excursions to glaciers and lakes are available for a supplement. On the final leg of the journey, the ship stops in Stavanger with its traditional 18th- and 19th-century wooden houses, before returning to Southampton.
Onboard facilities include an outdoor movie screen (SeaScreen), The Playhouse theatre, which hosts West End-style shows, and a variety of restaurants, bars and lounges, including Sindhu Indian restaurant run by Michelin-starred chef Atul Kochhar (extra charges apply).
Travelzoo tip: We recommend upgrading to an Outside Cabin for £50 more per person -- that's just over £7 per person, per night.
