Iglu Cruise has just discounted the price of the maiden transatlantic voyage aboard Norwegian Cruise Line's brand-new ship. This deal is £699 per person and saves up to £273 on prices we found elsewhere.
The ship departs from Southampton on 30 April, 2013, and set sails for New York. The price includes seven nights' accommodation, all meals and snacks onboard Norwegian Breakaway and US$100 per cabin onboard credit, as well as direct overnight flights from New York to London Heathrow with Virgin Atlantic. This deal is a chance to be among the first to discover Norwegian Breakaway, the latest ship by Norwegian Cruise Line, which has been voted Europe's Leading Cruise Line for the last five years at the World Travel Awards. New to the Breakaway are the Waterfront (a boardwalk lined with shops, restaurants and bars) and the 3-storey 678 Ocean Place, where guests will find a casino and the Atrium Bar. "Guests will enjoy alfresco dining while admiring the beauty of the ocean," said Kevin Sheehan, the cruise line's CEO.
The ship's main features include the 3-storey sports complex, with more than 40 activities including a zip track and a ropes course, a New York inspired Ice Bar and a 2-deck state-of-the-art spa with the first salt room at sea. Five-time Tony Award-winning musical Rock of Ages will feature at the Breakaway Theatre.
There are three main complimentary restaurants, as well as speciality dining options such as Ocean Blue by Michelin-starred chef, Geoffrey Zakarian, and a Brazilian-style steakhouse available for a supplement.
The price is based on an Inside Stateroom. Balcony Staterooms are £250 more. Add a 2-night stay in New York from £199 per person**. Single travellers can book this deal for £1129 per person. Click here for more information.
