Cruise Circle has taken £700 off a cruise through the Panama Canal ("the world’s greatest shortcut" according to Lonely Planet), and a Miami stay -- the price is now £1399 per person.
Guests will fly from London Heathrow with Virgin Atlantic to Miami for a 1-night, pre-cruise stay at a hotel such as the Mariott Biscayne Bay (or similar), which is close to Miami's cruise port.
The following day, NCL's Norwegian Sun departs for the 14-night voyage, sailing to Cartegena (Colombia), through the Panama canal, Puntarenas (Costa Rica) and on to four Mexican ports -- Puerto Chiapas, Huatulco, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas (pictured) -- before finishing in Los Angeles, where guests will catch the flight back to London Heathrow.
This cruise departs on 20 April, 2013. Click here for more information.
Upgrade to an Outside Cabin for an extra £100 per person. Extend your holiday with a longer stay in Miami or LA for £49 per person, per night.
NCL's Norwegian Sun has 15 dining options including Spanish and Japanese cuisine. There's a pool, hot tubs and a jogging track on board, plus a selection of bars including a cabaret lounge, a champagne and wine bar and a cocktail lounge.
The manmade Panama Canal cuts through the Isthmus of Panama to connect the Atlantic to the Pacific ocean, via the Caribbean sea. April temperatures in Panama hover around 32°C.
