Iguazú Falls is one of the most dramatic natural wonders in South America. Located near the border of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay, Iguazú Falls is a group of more than 200 waterfalls up to 82 metres high. Yet, a holiday to Iguazú offers more than just spectacular waterfall views, thanks to the establishment of national parks on either side of the falls by both Brazil and Argentina. Rare plant and bird species and wildlife such as the puma, plus a well-established system of trails throughout the region makes exploring easy.

Flights to the Cataratas Del Igu airport depart from London Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol and Dublin; however it is not possible to fly direct; flights invariably will have two and sometimes three stopovers. Air France, LAN airlines, Air Europa and Aerolineas Argentinas all offer indirect flights from London, Manchester, Bristol, and  Edinburgh, flying to the Cataratas del Igu, Iguazo, with stopovers at major city airports including Charles de Gaulle, Madrid, and Ezeiza International. Some stopovers are very lengthy and can range from an hour to 14 hours. With no direct flights to this destination it is worth shopping around for a good deal and a flight that is as short as possible, as it is not always the case that the shorter flights are the cheapest.

Both Puerto Iguazú and Foz do Iguaçu offer convenient transportation from their respective airports via bus or taxi. Hiring a car is also a good choice, particularly if you plan to do extensive exploring of the Iguazú region. Border control near Iguazú Falls is relatively loose if you are planning day trips to either the Brazilian or the Argentine sides of the falls. A day trip to Ciudad del Este in Paraguay is also a popular option.
