Just in time for summer vacation planning, Advantage has put most of its car categories on sale for rentals through July. Translation: For as little as $14.99 per day, you can rent a compact car (Dodge Caliber or similar) -- one of the best deals we're seeing in the marketplace for a comparable car class. 

Going on a longer road trip? Discounted weekly rates are available for as little as $89.99.

Advantage Rent A Car has locations in these 14 states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah and Washington.

This sale applies at all Advantage locations, but we found the best availability and prices at the following sites:

  • Phoenix ... $14.99 daily / $89.99 weekly
  • Austin ... $14.99 daily / $89.99 weekly
  • Southern Texas cities ... $14.99 daily / $89.99 weekly
  • Kansas City ... $14.99 daily / $89.99 weekly
  • Salt Lake City ... $14.99 daily / $89.99 weekly (April 1 - May 31, slightly higher June-July)
  • Honolulu, Maui ... $14.99 daily / $89.99 weekly (April 1 - May 31, slightly higher June-July)
  • Seattle ... $14.99 daily / $89.99 weekly (Thursday-Sunday April 1 - May 31, slightly higher June-July)

As we mentioned previously, most car categories are included in the sale, so larger cars, vans and SUVs are also available at reduced rates.  For example, you can rent a minivan for as little as $32.99 per day or $189.99 per week.

Travelzoo Tip:  Availability of compact cars at sale prices is limited and can disappear at any time, especially for the more popular locations and rental periods. If you can't find the lowest rate, try alternate dates.
