Learning about strange species.

We definitely plan to go back in the spring.

Great place to spend the afternoon with the family.

Lovely place to walk around and enjoy the outdoors. Trails were easy to explore, need to come back when gardens are in bloom.

The vision of the founder to bring a little of Asia to a garden in Sonoma. In spite of the school groups (loving that the kids are learning so much), it was possible to find solitude.

I admire these folks for taking an abandoned quarry and turning it into a beautiful arboretum, and for their dedication to preserving endangered Asian pants. This is wonderful. The sculptures by Bruce Johnson were simply amazing! Incredible, actually!

I found that it was not what I would call "user friendly". The paths are steep and the distances great while the plants observed along the way were not always worth the difficulty to view them. Perhaps to a dedicated botanist this would all be worthwhile, but to someone less knowledgeable, it decidedly was not worth the effort!
