Vouchers can be redeemed starting Wednesday, Aug. 17 through Feb. 16, 2012. Limit 1 voucher purchase per person. Reservations are required. Seasonal wines subject to change. The restaurant is not open on Saturdays or Sundays. This deal cannot be combined with any other offer. No cash value or cash back. Tax and gratuity are not included. Must be used in 1 visit.

The Deal

The newest addition to the Loop happy hour scene, Rittergut Wine Bar & Social Club opened just over a month ago. For $25, two people can sample wine flights and a cheese and charcuterie plate at this new riverfront venue, regularly $54.

Located blocks from Union Station, Ogilvie and the Chicago Travelzoo office, Rittergut has quickly become one of our favorite happy hour spots. Grab a seat on the patio overlooking the water and savor six choices from the international cheese and charcuterie menus alongside your wine flight.

We recommend sampling the Manchego reserve from Spain, Boucheron (goat cheese) from France, the clothbound cheddar cheeses from Vermont, the Cantimpalo chorizo from Spain, Prosciutto di Parma from Italy and salame Toscano from New York City.

Pair with a seasonal wine flight each, such as these current summer choices:

• The sparking flight featuring a 2005 Raventos Cava Reserva Brut "L'Hereu" from Spain, Meinklang Frizzante Rose of Pinot Noir from Austria and Bele Casel NV Prosecco from Italy
