The Fine Print

Vouchers can be redeemed starting Thursday, July 28, through Sept. 5, 2011. Reservations are required and are subject to availability; confirm your rafting reservations as soon as possible for optimal availability. Merchant cancellation and re-scheduling policy applies; voucher subject to forfeiture. Must sign waiver. Rafters must be 6 years or older and weigh at least 50 lbs. Limit 1 per person per visit. Must be used in 1 visit. Not valid for products. Tax and gratuity are not included. This deal cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion. No cash value or cash back.

The Deal

Row through class III rapids on the Arkansas River and enjoy the surrounding Rocky Mountain scenery with this Local Deal from River Runners. For $29 per person, regularly $58, take a half-day Bighorn Sheep Canyon rafting trip, which includes all the necessary gear.

Trips depart daily at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. from the River Runners Royal Gorge Rafting Center, located off U.S. Highway 50 in Cañon City. Included with this deal is all gear (helmet, paddle and personal flotation device) and shuttle transfer to and from the launch site. Make it a family excursion with child tickets (age 12 and under) priced at $23 each, regularly $46.

Experienced white-water rafting guides accompany each boat and will point out geological features and occasional wildlife, such as bighorn sheep, mule and elk, along the journey. This adventure is suitable for beginner and intermediate rafters.
