The Chicago Tribune calls the kayaking trips led by The Northwest Passage "magnificent" and says "euphoria is yours" as you paddle on the waters of Lake Michigan with views of the city to the south, the Baha'i Temple directly behind you and nothing but water in front and beneath. Take a Chicago Day Kayaking trip for $29, regularly $60.
Why we love it
- "With all due respect to river paddles, this feels like the ocean" (Chicago Tribune)

The Northwest Passage
- Trips depart from Gillson Park in Wilmette (weather permitting), just a few blocks from the Linden Purple Line CTA stop. The Northwest Passage recommends arriving 10 minutes early to check in, after which a brief lesson will take place on shore. Afterward, kayakers will spend a relaxing, recreational two hours on the waters of Lake Michigan taking in the view and building their paddling skills.
