The Deal

Miami City Ballet kicks off its 2012-13 season with "Program I: Fire and Ice," which The Miami Herald praises as "confident and powerful." Save 50% on tickets to performances at the Kravis Center, starting at $17.50.

Three seating levels are available for 8 p.m. performances Friday, Nov. 30, and Saturday, Dec. 1:

• Mezzanine ... $17.50, reg. $35
• Loge ... $17.50-$32.50, reg. $35-$65
• Orchestra and Grand Tier ... $32.50-$47.50, reg. $65-$95

The program features "Les Patineurs (The Skating Party)" by renowned choreographer Sir Frederick Ashton, Balanchine's first great masterwork "Apollo" and the steamy, tango-inspired "Piazzolla Caldera" by Paul Taylor.
