The Deal

Riverfront Times recently named Guido's Pizzeria & Tapas as one of the best neighborhood restaurants in all of St. Louis, saying the Carretero family "serves up some of the most satisfying food in town," and the readers of Sauce Magazine have awarded it multiple Reader's Choice awards for Best Spanish food. With this Local Deal, two can sit down and enjoy Italian or Spanish specialties with wine for $35, regularly as much as $70.

Relax in the dining room that St. Louis Magazine says offers a "casual atmosphere" and select:

• Any appetizer to share, like hand-breaded fried artichokes with marinara, traditional toasted ravioli with meat sauce or a sampler platter including four popular starters

• Two entrees including Italian favorites like chicken Marsala or veal Parmesan, both served with a side of pasta or a house salad; Spanish specialties like paella with chicken, shrimp, scallops and calamari; or an 8-ounce filet of beef tenderloin served with bleu cheese and sauteed Spanish potatoes (up to $21.95 each)

• Two glasses of wine from the wide-ranging list that Riverfront Times says is "another reason to love Guido's," including selections like 2009 Pinot Grigio Riando, Toscolo Chianti from Tuscany, sparkling wine like Moscato d'Asti, dessert wines like port and sherry, or Guido's homemade white or red sangria
