Outstanding wine and service. This was a very personable host. I would recommend the experience with the included chocolate pairing.

Something I would do again.

The experience as a whole was great. Even being severely run down it was a great break from the world in the middle of a bustling city.

It was fun to do a wine / chocolate pairing with a group of friends. It's easy to get to, and easy to park. It's also easy to go get a better glass of wine somewhere else afterwards.

First and foremost, the wines just aren't that great. The raspberry sparkling is way too sweet. The pinot noir actually tasted like pickle juice - vinegar and dill - bizarre. The cabernet had a funk. The Bordeaux blend was the only red that was all right, and it's only all right. Also, the service was crawlingly slow. Most of my group was standing around with empty glasses most of the time while we received a full-out lecture about the wine and chocolate. Now, I like learning about wine, but this was testing my patience. The only reason we took a bottle home was because of the $20 credit -- we had to get something. It would have been better for us not to have gotten the coupon and just do a regular tasting without chocolate (unnecessary and didn't add anything to the tasting experience) and without having a credit toward anything - the credit didn't give any sort of discount toward the actual bottle price, so it was simply as if we were obligated to get something.
